The day that I discovered beads is the day that I found a new love. I have done many crafts over the years, but this is one that I have found to be instantly gratifying.
By blending colors and melting glass I can put together a bead and then a string of beads to create something that is always unique. What started as a hobby has turned into a family business. Doug has done all of the computer work, photography, packaging and mailing. Zach, our fourteen year old, still helps with the cleaning of the beads and preparing the mandrels for the next bead but since we started two years ago his interests now center more around tennis.....
It has been definitely fun for all of us.

We started The Bead Basket in November of 2002 and have been growing ever since - we sell some of our beads on eBay but a larger majority of the creations we make are sold through this website both here in the United States as well as across the world.

I am always looking for new ideas and color combinations. We love to
